Using a good hike as a way to lose weight is a good idea, try to go hiking once a week and you should soon see the weight disappearing. However, you do need to bear in mind that there are some risks in getting injured similar to any other outdoor activities. Therefore, it would be sensible to get a friend to go along with you and get prepared for your hiking trip.

The first item you need to buy prior to going hiking would be a womens quilted jacket. You will need a windproof and water resistant jacket to keep you warm and dry if it starts to rain while you are in the middle of hiking.

Sensible shoes, there is no way you can go hiking wearing your favorite black pumps, you need to wear sensible shoes. If you wear shoes that are not designed for walking in you are almost sure to need the next item on our list.

The next thing you need to pay attention to is a small first aid kit. This will be extremely useful in the unfortunate event you fall and get injured. Other than that, you will need nothing more than a small bottle of water to quench your thirst and keep you hydrated throughout your trip.

Even though going hiking will definitely help you in your process of becoming slim, it does take a fair amount of time to build up your stamina and endurance. Once it becomes your weekly routine, you are going to look forward to go hiking as you will be able to save up your cash that would otherwise be spent if you chose to go shopping instead. Try to make it your habit to stop consuming junk food and exercise regularly and you should be able to shed those pounds in no time at all.
