Spin Toys, also known as Spin Master are the 9th largest toy maker in North America, and they have gone from strength to strength ever since being started. In 1994, the company got off to a lucky start with its first toy – the Earth Buddy. Liked by children and critics alike, the Earth Buddy allowed the company to push on and move onwards an upwards in the toy industry.

Ten years later, the company discovered its most successful franchise ever having licensed a toy known as the Mighty Beanz from the Australian toy company Moose Enterprises. Already having enjoyed success in its native country the toy line repeated this success but on a grander scale to go on and make over $40 million dollars that year alone.

Along the years there have been many Mighty Beanz toys, with licensed brands including the Simpsons, Pokémon, and the Marvel Mighty Beanz. Now, in 2010, the company has just released the Star Wars Mighty Beanz and many industry analysts believe that this may become one of the most popular licenses for the company.

Star Wars is already a very well established brand with many passionate fans, and as well as being fans there are a lot of collector’s of Star Wars memorabilia and toys. It is thought that the combination of the Beanz and the Star Wars characters will allow the company to do very well over the Christmas period.

So far there have been over 75 Star Wars Mighty Beanz characters released, and there seem to be a lot more scheduled to come out. With two carry cases also being released so far there is no end to the number of products as they are slowly rolled out over the weeks.

In 2010 Spin Toys hope that the Mighty Beanz will do well for them just as they have in the past, and once the sales figures are posted post 2010 we will find out just how successful.
