Using Black Rugs Creatively in the Bathroom

Black rugs in bathrooms can create several different looks depending on how you use accessories and design the space around the rug. Easy to keep clean, versatile and able to be used in a myriad of color combinations, using a black rug is an excellent design idea. 1. Black, White and Green

Using green creatively, you can have a beautiful bathroom space with lots of plants and added accents in green such as a hunter green ceramic vase, several mini lucky bamboo shoots artfully displayed in small containers in black. A great opportunity to bring out the depth of your black bathroom rug is to hang a complementary picture on the largest wall in the space. If your bathroom is large enough, put a small palm tree in the bathroom (the type that can fit into a large planter). This will create a lovely foliage filled bathroom space. If you really want to get creative, put some pine tree potpourri in a small bowl to make the room smell just as lovely.

2. Black and Pink

Black and pink polka dots and stripes create a whimsical and fun space which is ideal for either a corner powder room or an older girl’s bathroom. While a solid pink rug would be overwhelming and simply too pink for an adult bathroom, a black one makes the room more sophisticated. With a few metallic accents in a brushed nickel, the depth of a black rug put together with a fun shower curtain in coordinating colors and designs, the bathroom will be a hit!

3. Metallic Shades with Black

For a more modern look, you can pair your black rugs with metallic accents such as bronze hardware or brass planters and other accessories. This look is perfect for bachelors, homes that are not overly feminine or for people with minimalist tastes.
